Best Student Short - Total Brain Feast (Dir. Jett Christie, 2025)

Most early-stage student filmmakers try to put themselves in way over their head - their tastes far beyond what they're capable of achieving - and in a lot of ways this is a very noble pursuit, and extends the skill of the filmmaker to new heights. However, with minimal budget and a limit on runtime, Jett Christie played the cards he was dealt, and leaned into the aesthetic he had available to him. In doing so - he made something of a much higher quality than is expected from the genre and tone he chose. A cult classic filmmaker in the making, his choice of aesthetic and humour reminds the viewer of early Edgar Wright, and ultimately this deliciously camp, unselfserious, homoerotic (?) and, in the end, rather terrifying comedy short, won my heart. – Umnia El-Neil, Editor in Chief.

Best Overall Feature - Heavyweight (Dir. Christopher M. Anthony, 2025)

"So much is built with so little - so much backstory, so much tension - built in this one room, with a handful of characters who all feel completely grounded and real. Real men, dealing with real pressures - both internal and external - reacting in real ways."
