That's the heartbreak and genius of this brilliant and astute short from filmmaker Joe Borg, which takes the calm and regular environment of a Chip Shop and turns it into a comprehensive battlefield of challenges for Polly as she sets the shop up for a day of sales.
What really sets this short apart is how visual and score/sound work together to tell a detailed story of a second to second life living with OCD – providing lightness and comedy while retaining a subtle depth and mild despair. Adele Marie's performance holds the entire thing together brilliantly, balancing on the line between tragic and comedic (one of the hardest and most skilled lines to balance on!).
